The " Air Jordan 8 (VIII) Original (OG) - Playoffs (Black - Black - True Red) " Jordan Shoes were released in April, 1993, and retailed for $125. They feature a black durabuck upper with red and black accents, as well as a very colorful outsole. One of the nicest features of these is actually hard to see, but the shoe’s inner lining features a vibrant, multi-colored design which is very attractive. The shoe also features anti-inversion cross straps, poly carbonate torsion plate, air sole, and an inner sleeve similar to the Nike Air Huarache. The point of the inner sleeve was to really have the shoe conform / stick to your foot, similar to Tinker Hatfield’s intentions with the Air Jordan 7 (VII). Also (just something to know), the Air Jordan 8 (VIII) was the first Air Jordan to not feature Nike’s logo ( including the Original versions). It was at this point that Tinker felt the Jordan brand was strong enough to stand on its own
